What to ask for
- Ask for
- Member (org) + Campaign Manager (ad account) User access
- Minimum safe access
- Member of the Organization plus Campaign Manager on the one ad account (Agency Member if billing/details are in scope).
- Client needs
- Organization Admin in Ads Manager to send the Member invite, then assign the ad-account role.
Ask for Member (org) + Campaign Manager (ad account) and nothing broader. The smallest role that does the job is easier for the client to approve, easier to audit later, and simpler to remove when the work ends. If the scope of work grows, ask again for the larger role rather than requesting it up front.
What the client clicks
Send these steps to the person who holds organization admin in ads manager to send the member invite, then assign the ad-account role. Tick them off as you go.
What breaks if the role is wrong
- Too lowData Analyst: view performance metrics only, no campaign edits.
- Too lowCreative Manager: creatives only, not full campaign management.
- Too highAccount Admin: full ad-account control, including members and assets.
- GotchaOrg Member with no ad-account role sees little beyond the Members page until an ad-account role is assigned.
- GotchaThe invite email must match the invitee's Snapchat account email.
- GotchaThe person must be in the Organization before you can assign an ad-account role.
- GotchaThe Invite Member UI only offers Organization Admin, Business Admin or Member — ad-account roles are assigned separately.
- GotchaSnapchat documents no separate agency-partner sharing flow; only member invites.
- GotchaSnapchat names no official minimum role for agencies; Member + Campaign Manager is our reading of their role tables for running ads.
