What to ask for
- Ask for
- Editor team member User access
- Client needs
- Owner or Admin on a paid Kit plan (Creator or Pro).
Ask for Editor team member and nothing broader. The smallest role that does the job is easier for the client to approve, easier to audit later, and simpler to remove when the work ends. If the scope of work grows, ask again for the larger role rather than requesting it up front.
| Permission | Level | Lets the agency |
|---|---|---|
| Editor | Kit account | Write broadcasts, sequences, forms |
| Admin (owner-level) | Kit account | Change account settings or billing |
What the client clicks
Send these steps to the person who holds owner or admin on a paid kit plan (creator or pro). Tick them off as you go.
What breaks if the role is wrong
- GotchaTeam members need a paid plan. Creator: one team member (two users total). Pro: unlimited team members.
- GotchaKit has only two team roles, Admin and Editor. Admin has owner-level access to the whole account.
- GotchaOn Creator, broadcasts lock to one editor at a time; real-time co-editing is Pro only.
- GotchaIf adding a member throws a 500 error, the account has no owner set; assign an Owner in Settings → Team first.
- GotchaTeam members switch between accounts from the drop-down in the top right.
